Our building lays in the historical centre of Lentini; it belongs to the heirs of the ancient and noble Bonfiglio family.
The building therefore has an excellent historical and architectonical value. Today a part of the building is the private residence of the heirs of Bonfiglio di Carmito’s family, while the rest of it is a comfortable relaxing place for the clients of our Bed and Breakfast.
The first historical information date back to 1584, i.e. when the prior of S. Andrea’s Church (today S. Francesco di Paola’s Church), Don Luigi D’Amato, donated the Church to the Minor Friars belonging to the monastic order created by S. Francesco di Paola.
When the donation was completed the Friars enlarged the Church and, thanks to the decisive financial help of Lentini’s inhabitants, added a convent to it (our building)...
